BEDA The Bureau of European Design Association was formed in 1969 as the European representative body for professional designers’ associations. Since then they have been joined by design trade associations; regional and national design promotion centres and councils, as well as institutions of design education within Member States, applicant nations to the EU and in countries within the Council of Europe. Entities and networks for design-related research, social change and design management are also eligible for membership. BEDA is incorporated in The Hague and headquartered in Brussels.
